Q: QuestionI have.sound but pictire is black. Could it be batterries are bad on remote
Asked by Jack.
- A:Answer Does the remote perform other functions, like Volume Up/Down? If so, then remote batteries is not the problem. More likely that the LED backlight strips are burned out, but that shouldn't be right out of the box. When TV is powered on and you hear sound, shine a flashlight at the side of the black screen, if you can see shadowy images of the TV show, then your LED backlight strips are burned out. Return the TV for refund or exchange.

Q: QuestionI have Verizon cable and a good cable box and remote. My old TV is dying. If I get this TV, can I connect it to the cable box and still use the same remote to control it? Will I get all the same channels plus "internet channels" like YouTube, etc.?
Asked by reasonableperson.
- A:Answer Hi. Thank you for sharing this inquiry with us. This TV can be paired with a Cable Box remote. However, it is important to contact the Cable Service Provider to do so. As far as the channels, it will receive and display all the channels being provided by the box and you have thousands of streaming channels available to download from the Amazon servers, one of them being Youtube. Q: QuestionCan I use the Insignia as a monitor by attaching it to my Mac mini via an HDMI cable? Do I need any additional equipment?

Q: QuestionSo are you saying that when I use the jacks on the bottom of the TV for my surround amp the tv speakers will/should shut off? Also the HDMI's are inputs only correct-they don't flow both ways do they?
Asked by Kenny.
- A:Answer Hi Kenny. Thank you for leaving us this question trusting that we will answer you accurately. The HDMI ports on the back of the TV are INPUTS only, correct. They do NOT output signal. If you use the 3.5 mm headphones jack to output sound it will shut the speakers OFF. The only way to get external speakers and the TV's speakers at the same time would be Optical Toslink Cable. However, I cannot guarantee that there would not be any audio delay between them. We are always here to help you in case you need any further support with it and thanks for your preference.
