- Answer You can use half of the rail or entire and cut it without problems. You can use a cardboard too (like I did) and cut it exactly as you wish paint it (for weather)

- Answer There is not a specific one. I found one online for a totally different unit and with a little tweaking was able to utilize to my door.

- Answer Yes, this unit should fit up to 50-52 inches or so. 42 inches will be no problem.

- Answer I received my unit a few weeks ago. I haven’t set it up as of yet. Because I have hardwood floors, I plan to sit my unit on a thin yoga mat to absorb some of the noise. I did the same thing for my Haier portable washing machine in my kitchen (kitchen floors are porcelain tile) it helps a lot.

QuestionHave you checked the temperature of the air blowing out the unit against a thermometer? I have a unit from another company and there’s quite a bit of difference between the two

- Answer I did not check with a thermometer however I can tell you that as soon as I turn the unit off the temp displayed goes up. I'm not sure if the temp in the room never reached the desired temp I've selected or it get hot fast once turning it off. That being said this thing really works great. We are planning to purchase another one for our living dining room area

- Answer No. Once it's off the vents close and fan stops, it just continues to show the room temperature.

- Answer according to the manual this unit uses standard 120v AC at 10 amperes. if your converter is rated for the 120v at 10 amperes is should work just fine

- Answer Hello, I don't have an exact figure as there are several variables that roll up into this. I will say in my experience that I expected my bill to be substantially higher than the bill I have received in my first full month of use. I am very conscientious of my energy use so I only used it when necessary.

- Answer I wouldn't recommend it bc you connect the hose to the window which if you disconnect it leaves you're window open and bugs could get in

- Answer As far as I can tell, the remote is a convenience, not a requirement, except for maybe swapping the temperature indication from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

QuestionHow far can the unit extend from the window that is venting? The photos appear to require it to be within a foot of the window. If the hose that comes with the unit is short, can it be replaced with a longer one? Thanks!

- Answer While I have not stretched it out to full length, my unit is about two feet to the side of the window and at least 18 inches out. I probably could go further. The issue would be if it is too far away from the window, you have to deal with the hose being in the way of things. Also, you do not want any sharp bends. That said I would guess MAYBE up to 4 feet .....
