“The unit came with two pieces of plastic taped to the side, what are they? Also there are no rubber feet opposite the leveling feet, which make me concerned that the unit will scratch the floor if it moves. Is there not supposed to be feet on both side?”

The plastic is just for shipping. You can go ahead and throw those out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would like to know what those plastic pieces are for also. As for scratching the floor, just to be safe... I would try those plastic glides (cheap round disk-disc?) under the unit. My friend uses them all the time for his business and they worked well. They are in most stores that sell housewares or hardware items.
