• Hi! regarding your question regarding the freezer and the method of transporting it, it should be just fine if you transport it laid down. Just remember that for it to function properly, it is recommended that you let it sit upright for approximately 24 hours before plugging it in for use. -Brian Insignia Support

• Yes it can, it was the only way to transport it home in my mini van. I had no problems, it survived the trip just fine.
