“One of the previous questions asked how big the box was that the freezer came in. Insignia answered: "30.3 X 21.5 X 34.3 inches" However, the published size of the freezer is 34.8" tall. How can the box be smaller than the freezer (34.3" vs 34.8")?”

The "box" does not have a bottom. Bottom of freezer is wrapped with styrofoam. Throughly protected though. No issues with mine.
