- Answer As a general rule, the shorter the ext cord, the less electricity the freezer will take. Freezers should not run for extended periods on extension cords, since the risk of fire is high when operating appliances with extension cords.

QuestionThe unit came with two pieces of plastic taped to the side, what are they? Also there are no rubber feet opposite the leveling feet, which make me concerned that the unit will scratch the floor if it moves. Is there not supposed to be feet on both side?
