“Can this chest be put up on a plastic platform to raise it off the ground so that I can fit a drip pan under it to defrost?There is no room to put a pan under the drain.I'm a sr. looking for the easiest way to defrost.I have no need to move unitaround.”

You could place it on a raised platform and when defrosting- manually put a garden hose on the drain outlet in lower left front and rain into bucket or what ever.
