A:AnswerJust picked mine up... H: 34.5 x W: 26 x D: 22.5
Note, if you have to put it in your vehicle on it's side, you'll have to wait 24 hours to plug it in to let the Freon settle.
A:AnswerYou could place it on a hardwood floor although I would not. The drain is on the front but any drip would end up discoloring the floor. It's best to have some impervious liner. Measure the freezer and look for appliance trays in your local appliance or hardware big box store. They sell then for washing machines and that may just fit your needs.
A:AnswerAs someone who is attempting to use a chest freezer as a inexpensive kegerator, it is infuriating how difficult it is to find internal dimensions on freezers. And then even if you do manage to find internal dimensions, they usually don't add details for the the compressor.
After purchasing it based upon guessing dimensions by pictures, I can confirm what Insignia responded with is mostly correct ( 20.3 x 16.7 x 27.5 inches) . This does not include the compressor hump which removes capacity and has a size of 7" x 16.7" x 8" inches.
So the left side of the freezer is 13.3"x 16.7" x 27.5" . The right side is 7" x 16.7" x 19.5" . Hope this helps others!
A:AnswerIt is rather light, but dimensions are a little awkward for one person to carry -- say down a stair set. If you're just putting it into the garage, you can easily walk it into place.
A:AnswerI suggest you just keep checking online, that is how I lucked out and got mine, one minute it was out of stock and when I checked a few hours later they had one in stock. the freezer are going as fast as they get them. Also you might want to broaden your surrounding search area, my local store did not have one but a store in a surrounding city did, and they still delivered it to my house. Of course I had to pay a delivery fee but it was worth it. I had the option to pick it up at no fee however, I didn't have a truck to get it.
A:AnswerThe model I purchased Insignia 5.0 cubic foot deep freezer, needed to be defrosted about every 3 to 6 months depending on frost build up. The freezer has a drain hole at the bottom, you will have to turn the freezer off connect a hose to the drain, then put the hose in a floor drain or bucket etc for the melted ice to drain. Hope this helps. You can also look on U Tube just put your freezer make in the look up with question how to defrost.
A:AnswerYou are going to overwork your refrigerator if I I put in that temperature it won’t last and your electric bill will be very high I wouldn’t recommend doing that
A:AnswerHere's the problem - there is NOTHING in the manual that shows you how to access the power cord. There's a large plastic cover and I was quite afraid of busting it. The "door" that needs to be pried opened MUST be opened on the side the arrow points to, and it is a smaller door that swings out from that right side (closest to the center of the freezer). So, don't try to pry the whole plastic panel off, just the small "door" at the bottom. It would have helped for the manufacturer to explain this!! The directions on the panel are not enough, given how difficult it is to pry the small panel open, SO difficult that I did not snap it back closed and left it slightly ajar. Otherwise, it's a sweet little freezer - hope it lasts!
A:AnswerHi, Midge.
All of our appliances are designed to be used indoors. While it could work in your garage, we do not recommend it.

A:Answer0°F (-18°C) or below is regarded by FDA as best temp for long term, safe storage. These freezers don't have settings on dial. Using a freezer thermometer, mine holds 0°F at about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way on the dial.
A:AnswerThe yellow Energy Guide tag is shown in one of the product images. I don't know exactly what the definition of "energy efficient" is, but this product probably does not qualify. It does not look like it's ENERGY STAR Certified. The estimate is that it will cost a little over $2 per month to run, and it shows that to be on the high end for other similar products.
