Manual says freezer needs to be in a space with an ambient temperature 55F or above.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Saw this in the manual: Freezer might not operate consistently when located for an extended period of time below the cold end of the range of temperatures for which the freezer is designed. Hope that helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In agreement with guy who said “download manual” but wanted to state that the freezer came with a sticker that said “garage ready”. The temp fluctuations listed in the manual - back up the sticker. I asked a refrigeration specialist re: this particular question- he said it really only matters on- a dual purpose appliance: Refrigerator & Freezer combination. It’s a marketing (and empty) slogan. Garage ready is redundant for a stand alone freezer, unless it’s going to be placed in extremes - which the manual warns against. I bought the 5cf chest freezer.
