can it be located in a garage null

With my research on this very subject because I live in Michigan . I found out unless you have a heated garage it's not advised to put it there. I wound up putting in a spare bedroom in house. It doesn't take up much room and better not to have extreme temps. Great freezer so far. I like the added light inside.

If you use your freezer in a garage, make sure that the ambient temperature is greater than 55°F (13°C).

Sure mine is sitting in the pantry.
