Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can to transport it. BUT, you must leave it upright for a minimum of 2 hours before plugging it in to the wall. This is from the owners manual, "Let your freezer stand upright for approximately two hours before connecting it to power. This reduces the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from incorrect handling of your freezer during transportation."

If absolutely necessary to lay it down, be sure to stand upright for a bit longer than it was laying, before plugging it in. It worked for me, but it is not ideal to allow the oil to get into the unit.
