• Just purchased the freezer so not sure how quickly ice would build up. Based on the description on the website it would appear that it isn't since it talks about having a drain when it needs to be defrosted.

• It doesn't say anywhere in the user guide about being frost free, but it does tell you how to defrost it...

• No. Almost no free standing freezer is frost free. You sort of don't want them to be frost free - they keep things frozen better without the defrost cycles.
