QuestionIs there a way to turn off energy star setting? Whenever there's a quiet part in the audio, the sound cuts off - when sound is detected again, it powers back up. But this turns off with just 1/4 second of silence.

QuestionThe audio cuts off after .5 seconds of silence, making it impossible to use for music. Can this be deactivated? Picture a movie with two people whispering - there's no audio at all because it's not above the detection threshold.

- Answer After having the same issue, my solution was to change my soundbar input from auxillary to HDMI (eARC) and then change the audio type within my tvs settings from auto to stereo (Roku tv). Im sure most tvs have similar settings so it might be worth giving these a shot.

- Answer The SB512 is a eight channel surround sound system - it has three front channels LCR & two upfiring speakers for height in the soundbar plus two surround channels and a subwoofer, hence 5.1.2 LCR + LR Surround = 5 Subwoofer = .1 Height channels .2
