A:Answer This remote DOES NOT work with a Chromecast. I drove 40 minutes to best buy with a 2 year old and bought this remote based on insigniacustomersupport's answer here, but after calling "John" with customer support it appears that they do not support it. The box even says " works with ALL MAJOR BRANDS" (emphasis theirs), but apparently Chromecast doesn't fall within that.
If they insist that it is supported, perhaps insist on a code prior to purchasing.
