I have only used it on a 110 v and yes it will make the "smushy".

I Do not know anything about the Insignia personal blender, but to begin with I am not an expert on Voltage conversion adapters. If at all possible take the Blender into Best Buy and see what they can work out for you. I have had nothing but good things to say about their expert help. As the song says "The Sun will come Up Tomorrow".

yes as long as correspond to the voltage ranges specified to it. I think you can do smushy drink why not
