A:AnswerFirst, the USER GUIDE included with your dehumidifier has a good troubleshooting section. I advise you to go through that first. There is also a telephone number, to contact the company, listed on the last page and back cover of the manual.
A:AnswerIs the hose fully secured to the until threads? This one does not have a pump like more expensive untils, it works on gravity system so make sure that the dehumidifier is higher or elavated compared to the drain it's discharging into.
A:AnswerThey say that 30 pint dehumidifiers are good for up to 1500 square feet. I would say that that this unit easily handles my large master bath, master closet, and master bedroom. It may be enough for the whole house (2100 sq ft) but I would have to centrally locate it. I keep this in the master bath where we have had excessive humidity issues. Works great. 50 pints is the daily rating, not to be confused with the bucket capacity which I believe is a gallon and a half.
A:AnswerWhere I have the dehumidifier in my house makes it inconvenient to measure the cord for an exact number of inches, but it appears to be approximately 4 feet long and is a heavy gauge cord. You didn't ask, but I live in the humid south (Mississippi) and it is taking gallons of water out of our home every week. I hope that helps.
A:AnswerThank you for bringing this to our attention. This doesn't sound normal. Please feel free to call our Customer Support line at 1-877-467-4289. We are happy to help you diagnose and troubleshoot your unit. - Carl | Insignia Support
A:AnswerDehumidifiers don’t use CFM for measuring, This units size will take fifty pints of humidity (water) from the air in a twenty four hour period.
A:AnswerI'm currently using this on my RV connected to 30amps. So glad I purchased this as the humidity inside was a big concern. Amazing how much water is inside the RV. When I discovered mold growing on the carpet I knew how important it was to buy this. Do not run your humidifier and AC at the same time. Protect your investment!
A:AnswerMine started doing the same thing. I feel that these are just not quality products. I have added a large fan blowing on it, with ample clearances and room temps are +20 celcius. Still full of ice. I bought another brand dehumidifier, hopefully it doesnt do the same thing. I got 3 years out of it. What a waste.
A:AnswerThis model's drain hose outlet is a 1" male connector. (The user guide is misleading.) So it needs a standard drainage hose with a female connector of 1" internal diameter. I couldn't find any on the Best Buy web site. Our regular garden hose works.
