“I have a TV that only has HDMI and RCA audio.. my sound bar has 3.5 jack and an optical cable slot... Will I be able to use this cord, using the 3.5 end in my soundbar and the RCA red and white audio end to my TV and it connect to get sound thru my bar?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would use the Kanex - Digital Audio/Video Adapter. Best buy sells it, it has great reviews and it will allow you to use an optical cable. I don't think you will achieve great sound quality using this cable.
