A:AnswerThis should only be used only for a passive signal, not an active signal to power a speaker. You would want to plug this cord from your sound source (like a tv or tape deck) to your sub-amp. You then should have a separate wire from you sub-amp to you speaker that will carry both the active and passive signal.
