- Answer While the back is 'flat', you need at least 8 inches behind the unit to allow for the vent hose to bend and connect to the exhaust.

- Answer You have to buy the cord you need if you have a 3 prong buy a 3 prong same with a 4 prong I dont recommend any adapters period. Also if ordering from Best Buy they will have either 3 or 4 prong cord and vent and will hook up and haul away of course for a price.
