Does the sealing valve need to be tight null

There is a float valve which moves up and down, and is fairly loose.

I asked the same thing when we got ours. It flops around like it's going to fall off. I e-mailed back and forth and never received a good answer. The customer service for insignia was very lacking, I sent them picture and everything. All I can say is we've used it 2 times now and it worked great. But the knob still feels like it may fall off. The guy that I was e-emailing with finally got rude. For this reason I would not buy this brand of anything ever again.
