We are a family of 7: I have cooked around 5lbs of chicken thighs (12 pieces), made honey sesame chicken and around 5lbs of chicken breast (8 pieces), made Mongolian chicken. (Chicken purchase from COSTCO) Both did not hit the max capacity line, with ALOT more room. Ingredients should not exceed the max line in pot. FYI- If browning chicken first you should brown in batches for best results. I have not cooked my roast yet. This will be my next venture. Roast would follow same suit, as long as it does not exceed max line. I buy my roast from COSTCO too and buy about 6lbs +. This is 2 roast and I would definitely say they would fit. THE POT IS RATHER LARGE. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did cut a whole chicken up and made stew chicken in this pot in just 25 min . It was cooked to perfection . Falling off the bone . I highly recommend this pot .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will hold a pretty big roast. It's just the length of it that you might have a hard time with. The pot is pretty deep. As far as the chicken. I have put a family pack of chicken breast in it and still have room. Hope this helps! They make bigger instapots if this one doesn't seem to be big enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have put 2 big chuck roasts in my cooker. You have to cut them in 3 pieces each after seasoning then cook for 1 1/2 hours comes out perfect!!
