I've cooked the following in my pressure cooker.... scrambled eggs, bacon, pork chops, ground beef, those all in one frozen bag meals.... all on the saute function...it runs for 30 mins & stops. Pick up one of the glass lids so you can cover & see your food while it's cooking. Try to catch this pot when it's $30. You definitely won't regret the purchase. You'll eat well in the dorms! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The saute function can be manually cycled on and off to keep the temperature down. I.P. Max may be dialed in to a specific saute temperature which is digitally displayed to keep you below the smoke point but that would be an expensive solution. A portable induction hob and a covered saute would be my first pick for a dorm room due to the precise temperature control lower power demand lighter weight and ease of storage.
