• Veggie steam should do just fine with no more than a cup of water

• I would use the steam vegetables option and set the time as desired

• Hi Rene. As a Tamale expert myself, I do not recommend making them on a pressure cooker. It is much better to use a steam slow cooking method, like just a pot with water and a steaming rack will do wonders for our tamales. Charles V. - Insignia Support https://www.insigniaproducts.com/contact-us
