• This converter worked very well for charging our i-phones and camera battery while in Italy.

• You need an electrician. This will not do any of that. Europe uses 230v the way we use 120v. For this you will need a very expensive step up transformer. And if it will need anywhere near 1000w. Then you are looking at a ton of money.

• Depends on your device. The charger cords on every lap-top, phone, camera automatically converts the voltage, so you only need the 2-pin adapter for the outlet. If you are asking about a air dryer or shaver, etc., however, you do need a voltage converter. Otherwise your device will work VERY well for 30 seconds before it bursts into flames.
