How they are handled has a lot to do with how long they last. They contain fine wires that cannot tolerate a lot of bending, and certainly very little sharp bending. When putting the cord into loops for storage or transport, let it loop naturally (do not twist it in a direction it does not want to go by itself) and keep the loop at a fairly large diameter, six inches or so.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cable is not designed for heavy and abusive use. The wire inside is thin. The price reflects the products durability. Apple OEM equipment will last longer but does cost more.
