I have used the original XBox charger from Insignia for a couple years and I've had the S charger for three months - I always leave the batteries in the charger when not in use and they have not been hurt or lost life in any way

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have left batteries in for days after the charge was complete and have never had an issue with loss of charge or ruining the batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had them for the last year and a half or so and I haven't seen any affect on the battery performance from leaving them in the charger connected to the Xbox until needing them to play, I don't know is any smart charging tech in them, but it hasn't lose any power performance, Maybe aside from a little now, because they are older, but really unnoticeable with having them 1.5+ years and pretty much daily use on them. I try to rotate the use on the batteries, but I actually use and The Xbox branded battery pack in and end up using that the most, while still working with this charging station quite well. The Xbox one charge and play batteries are a higher capacity battery and lighter too, I believe that's due to them being Lithium-ion batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
