When you put discharged batteries in an amber light comes on. When the battery is fully charged it changes to a white light.

There are 2 lights on the front of the unit. The lights shine white when fully charged and a yellowish color when charging. Hope this helps.

The light on the dock will tell you. If it turns white, the batteries are charged. Amber indicates that the batteries are still charging.
