QuestionI have a Monitor with HDMI input and purchased this box to connect via coaxial cable to the building cable service, when searching for channels the box finds none however when I connect a TV to the same coaxial cable it finds the channels no problem.

QuestionAfter turning on the converter, green light comes on. Then turn on tv and get channel. Anytime after 1 minute the tv will lose picture and then all static. Very noisy. Green light stays on converter. Will have to shut off tv and converter and start over

QuestionI have a flat screen smart tv with roof antenna. Tall trees mess up local station reception. Would converter solve the problem so I can get better reception. This is not an analog tv. Right now I use HULU for local stations.

- Answer No... This is a digital receiver that is basically the same as your buit-in TV reciever but meant to connect to devices like projectors that do not have built-in digital receivers. With digital, you either have a usable signal or you have no reception.

- Answer I do not use the converter box to play VHS tapes. I connect the VHS player directly to the tv. I only use the converter to take the digital tv signal from the air and convert it to analog for my old analog tv.

- Answer My Vizio TV has only HDMI slots. I hooked an antenna to the coaxial input on the box with RG-6 cable & an HDMI cable from the box to HDMI 1 on the TV & it works fine. It sounds like it would work fine for your camera system if you need a coaxial input. I hope this helps you.
