“I have an Insignia NS-DXA2 converter box that I'm using with a Tivo Series 2. I'm trying to get the Tivo to recognize the converter box by supplying the IR code. The code suggested by the Tivo is 10090. I'm guessing that works for the NS-DXA1, but that code won't allow the Tivo to change channels with the DXA2. What code should I use instead?”

This insignia ns-dxa2 converter box is the same as a Zinwell box, possibly model ZAT-970A. I set this up to work with my Tivo S2 lifetime DVR buy using the follwoing procedure: The Tivo code for the Insignia ns-dxa2 converter box (same as Zinwell )is placed thru custom setup only. After first choosing and completing setting up any standard brand converter box listed, such as RCA, go back into the TIVO converter box setup screen, choose "using same box", then go to ADVANCED SETUP and enter the following info directly on the screen 10112-b enter = NO digit = 1 Save and exit setup and now your Tivo S2 should change the channels just fine using the IR emitter cable! zinwell code is
