• The sound on my tv works just fine. Try turning up the volume on the actual tv 1st then the converter box. According to the instructions either cord is acceptable

• I use coax cable, the signal is what lowers sound, tv sound is fine for me.

• Both RCA and Coax should carry the audio and video fine, with the same quality. If the Audio level is not changing, make sure both the Converter box audio and the TV audio have been turned up. Once that has been done, you should be able to make adjustments with the Converter remote.

• The coaxial cable included with the converter box gave a very poor performance. I used a "yellow" cable. The sound does not seem to be as good through the antenna/converter combination. The cable connection had better sound.
