Though I haven't seen anyone report issues on the Insignia dock bricking any consoles, it can still happen. Not everyone using Nyko docks on 5.0 update ended up with bricked console. I have been using the Insignia dock since December 2017, and I haven't had any issues. If you want to be super safe, it may be best to just stick with Nintendo branded docks.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’ve not heard of this particular dock bricking any switches. The reviews on Best Buy’s website are all good as far as that goes. The only one I’ve heard was bricking switches was the Nyko dock. A lot of people say the Insignia dock is working just as well as the Nintendo one.
