• I used this charger on my iPhone 4 in Spain and plugged my Apple USB cord directly into this USB adapter with no other devices and safely charged my phone on a ten day trip at several different locations. Also charged a portable charger off this device with no problems.

• According to Apple's website, you do not need a Voltage convertor to use your iPhone or iPad in Europe. The device will accept both 120 and 240 V. So from what I can see on the Apple support page, you do not need a Voltage adapter.
