“Do the brackets have to be mounted to a stud(s) in the wall or can you just mount it into the part of the drywall where there are no studs?If so,do you have to use special bolts/screws to mount it to drywall where there are no studs?What kind?”

We used wall anchores since we didn’t have studs in our RV worked great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They make some toggle anchors for Sheetrock. Pay attention to the weight ratings. Any hardware store should be able to help you out. Personally, I would want to hit a stud with at least one side of mount. You can always attach two boards that span the studs, mount them to wall, then attach tv mount to boards.
