“Will this stay on when it's in parking in your garage at night so if somebody opens your garage it'll catch the view and does it also have a battery pack so it doesn't wear your battery down if you can't put it into your cigarette lighter??”

Only stays on when has electricity, otherwise it will not record or even be on. It overwrites every 5 minutes (at max time), so be mindful of that as well.
