• yes you can. it looks exactly the same when its opened. you'll just have a small hole on the side from where the door should be.

• Yes, just don't install the magnetic door stops. You'll have the holes in top and bottom right corners for the door pivot pins, but if you don't mind that, it will otherwise look the same as the left side.
