“I have an iron and coffee maker brought from Germany... and laptops... does this converter let them work on the US system?”

• It should work with the laptops. The other items may depend on the electric draw since an iron and coffee maker require more electricity. My son used it to charge his laptop and phone.

• First, the units you purchased must be DUAL VOLTAGE units or, even with an adapter, are not likely to work on standard American 110v electricity unless used with a converter. If the units are Dual voltage appliances, this converter will accommodate the German (European) plug. Again, this is an adapter - not a converter. If an adapter is what you need, I highly recommend this unit.

• Yes it does. My mother-in-law is from Nigeria and have similar electrical system to that of Europe and it works.
