• A:Answer Yes, that is somewhat misleading. It does NOT come with an RCA cable. You have to purchase your own. Also, with this particular model, there are no selectable input switches. This is a straight HDMI Output to RCA Input Converter. But it works great. I've used it on my old TV with only RCA Jacks. I'm able to use both my new Roku and my Amazon Firestick.

• A:Answer did you try changing input switch on the remote. input on the the remote needs to be set to hdmi or analog whichever input you want to use.. if you are using the hdmi for something and roku using insigna hdmi to rca converter to an analog input. the remote (tv) input must be set to analog. or you could just purchase an hdmi selector switch and forget about the converter (or take it back). i do not own a roku this is only a sugestion.

I then went to a local professional car audio company and asked what could be done and he said that there wasn't anything made for the vehicle or the apple device unless it was an aftermarket tv.

Your VCR/DVD player outputs RCA, and your TV accepts HDMI, so you need a converter that goes RCA → HDMI, not HDMI → RCA.
