“The spec describes it as a two output surge-protected charger. What makes this a "hub?”

• It’s not a hub and at least for me it’s only a one port outlet since the 2nd one died.

• It's a hub because you could charge two cell phones, a cell phone and a USB flash light. What ever you want to charge.
