Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. This must be grounded. That's how surge protectors work, by sending the surge to ground. When you remove the wall outlet to install this, there will be a ground wire. That ground wire needs to be connected. If you have no ground, and your equipment gets damaged by a surge, the manufacturer probably won't warranty anything that was damaged because they will see that as incorrectly installed and that voids the warranty in most cases.
