Yes, it should work. A lot of TV stations still broadcast over the air, even though they have a digital signal. Most modern TVs still have a port for the coaxial cable from an antenna in the back (round hollow tube with a thread on the outside). If you connect the antenna with that port, you should be able to receive at least a few local channels for free. How many depends how close you are to the broadcasting towers
