A:AnswerThe button does not ping your phone. The network of iPhones and iPads is much larger than then network of phones that have the Tile app installed. Again, an AirTag or AirTag compatible device (like the Insignia Locator Tag here) will ping its location into the Apple Find My network with *every* iPhone it passes.. A Tile will only ping the Tile network *if* the phone has the Tile app installed, which most phones will not.
A:Answerjust bought these. the instructions state that yes they use apples' find me' network, and will show where the tag is by utilizing other ppl's iphones. Meaning you can find the tag beyond the blue tooth range cause other phones show where it is. I am going to actually test this and will update this answer with test results if allowed.
