The button does not ping your phone. The network of iPhones and iPads is much larger than then network of phones that have the Tile app installed. Again, an AirTag or AirTag compatible device (like the Insignia Locator Tag here) will ping its location into the Apple Find My network with *every* iPhone it passes.. A Tile will only ping the Tile network *if* the phone has the Tile app installed, which most phones will not.

Not sure why they're so large and so prevalent, To reset, remove from 'find my' app, then press once, then press again for 5-seconds till it beeps and you reset it. Again, no idea why it's so easy to get to... Tile / Samsung tracker's buttons can find your phone or perform an action.
