Yes. If your laptop port is a combo port for a headset with sound/mic, you can plug this right in. but if your laptop has two different ports for sound and mic, this comes with a splitter to plug it into each port separately. But its really cheap and mine quit working after a few months so i wouldnt recommend it.

Please try again later.Yes, you can use with just the headphone jack but most every computers since the 80s have sound cards that have the pink and green holes with pic of a mic and headphone on them. Would be very odd to not have both connections. They do make a splitter if your headset only has one jack. But the item for sale in this review comes with both jacks. The pink and green holes some are in front or back or both. You don't have to use both plugs that come on the headset but if the mic is not used the other party may not be able to hear you. Look for both holes for best use.
