• What it does it connects to your smart phone using Bluetooth and allows you to control remotely the picture trigger. If you want to take a selfi you open the picture application on your smartphone, place it on a stable surface pointing the target where you want your picture taken, and use the device button to remotely activate the camera trigger.

• Yes, but not by itself. It is actually just the button you push to take pictures with your phone.
