A:AnswerIt sounds like you just need to pair your device to it. you would do that in the bluetooth settings on your phone or tablet when you scan it will come up as np-scbtbrick I think just select it and once paired it should work.
A:AnswerI am not completely sure, just a guess...maybe it makes the sound when it finds a device to pair up with and the sound is to let you know it got connected? Mine made a sound when I set up my ipod to connect...don't remember the exact sound though.
A:AnswerI have not found a way to do it either, but to stop the blinking light I pair it and then plug my device into it the headphone jack, it over rides the bluetooth when plugged in, so the battery does note drain from bluetooth and the dang light is solid instead of blinking.
A:AnswerI have the older version of this speaker and it beeps every minute unless it's over 90% charge. Sad that it sounds like the defect is still there.
A:AnswerInsignia customer service confirmed with me today that there is no way to disable that obnoxious "beep" when I turn on, off, or operate other functions on the speaker. Looks like I have to go through the hassle of returning this item. It's too bad because I would have kept this device if it weren't for that annoying noise..
