• Distilled or filtered. Definitely not municipal tap water and most definitely not well water.

• Use distilled to clean it befire first use. You can use tap or filtered water to make the ice. I suggest using filtered for clearer and better tasting ice.

• I would not recommend using tap water. Filteted water should be good enough. Distilled water is not required.

• Any water is acceptable to use but to avoid/reduce the eventual buildup of minerals distilled or filtered water is the best way to go.
