Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Record players (turntables) are about the only audio component that requires an equalization amp so, no -- it would sound very tinny and weird without it. You would need an amplifier or a receiver with a specified "PHONO" or "TURNTABLE" input.

The biggest problem would be getting a cable that will adapt the record player to the speakers. But, there are stores and webstores that carry a variety of adapter cables. The speakers have a built in amplifier, so all should be good. As I said, you'll need to adapt the 3.5mm jack to connect to the (most likely) rca plugs on the record player. Good luck!
