A:AnswerI don't believe so. Converters are uni-directional. This particular unit converts FROM the RCA plugs TO the HDMI. What you need is the reverse. You're trying to go FROM an HDMI TO an RCA. (That's why the other person could plug their old VCR into the new TV and play their movies, but could not record. The digital info only flows one direction through these.)
