“I have DirectTV Genie hooked up to an older tv by component 1 connection. Will this modulator allow hookup to a second tv using component connection? It is understood that both tvs will display the same channel.”

I used three of these, using the component outputs on the back of the Dish Hopper3, Joey and wireless Joey, converting to analog Coax. I then used a coax splitter to send the coax signal to two TVs each. It works great! 9 TVs operating off three pieces of rented equipment. Avoiding paying Dish a monthly fee for equipment for the additional TVs.
