I had the same issue. It may not work. Check the bottom of your laptop And if you have a customer service express ticket number. Order thru dell. I'm still waiting on the charger, but the cost waa less then 13 dollars. Free shipping. They do have one thar will keep you unit powered up but it will not charge your battery. You may have to check for the correct pin, they make 3 different universal chargers.
